KimaCell® HPMC MP200M is a high-viscosity hydroxypropyl methylcellulose ether that’s commonly used in dry mixed mortar. When combined with a cationic surfactant, it creates a new type of mortar plasticizer that enhances workability, improves mortar strength, and reduces shrinkage. As a water-retaining thickener, it’s a crucial component of ready-mixed mortar, as it significantly increases bond strength and improves tensile and shear strength.
