Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose (HEMC)

Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC) is a cellulose ether derived from natural cellulose. It is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer that is widely used in various industries, including construction, pharmaceuticals and personal care, due to its properties of water retention, thickening, stability, film formation and compatibility. Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose is formed by the reaction of methyl chloride with alkali cellulose, and then further reacted with ethylene oxide to introduce hydroxyethyl into the main chain of cellulose. The resulting polymer connects hydroxyethyl and methyl groups to cellulose, which gives it unique properties and advantages. Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose has excellent water retention performance, can be used for long-term water retention products, such as cement, mortar and other building materials. Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC) increases the viscosity and stability of liquids, gels, and creams. This has made it a popular ingredient in personal care products such as shampoos, conditioners and lotions, as well as medicines and foods. Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC) can form a thin film on the surface of the product, thus providing a barrier against external factors
