It has excellent halogen resistance, heat and alkali resistance, and high chemical stability. HEC is used to improve the viscosity of latex paint, stabilize the properties of the formula, prevent the agglomeration of latex paint, improve the adhesion, tensile strength, flexibility and wear resistance of the coating film, which is a technical component of the development of high-quality latex paint.

The main function of HEC is to improve the mechanical properties of the coating. It can also be used as an anti-sedimentation agent, preservative or anti-viscosity agent. Without HEC concentration, it can effectively increase the viscoelasticity of the coating, increase the tensile strength and flexibility of the coating, and eliminate the shrinkage and cracks of the film.

Hydroxyethyl cellulose provides excellent coating properties for latex coatings, especially high PVA coatings. When the coating is thick, flocculation will not occur.

Hydroxyethyl cellulose has a higher thickening effect. It can reduce the dosage, improve the economy of the formula, and improve the scrubbing resistance of the coating.

The aqueous solution of hydroxyethyl cellulose is non-Newtonian, and the properties of the solution are called thixotropy.

In the static state, the coating system remains thickened and open after the product is completely dissolved.

In the poured state, the system maintains a moderate degree of viscosity, making the product has excellent fluidity, and does not splash.

In the brush and roll coating, the product is easy to spread on the substrate. Convenient for construction. At the same time, it has good splash resistance. When the coating is completed, the viscosity of the system is restored immediately, and the coating immediately produces flow hanging.
