Cement Tile Adhesive

● Standard Tile Adhesive (C1)

EN12004 specifies the requirements for cement-based tile adhesives such as Standard Tile Adhesive (C1). These adhesives need to meet certain strength criteria after drying. YibangCell® cellulose ethers can enhance the slip resistance and extend the open time of these adhesives. By using cellulose ether at a dosage of about 0.3-0.4%, the adhesive strength can be improved to meet the required level. The cellulose ether can be added to both normal setting and fast setting tile adhesives. This allows for greater flexibility in the application and performance of tile adhesives.

● Premium Tile Adhesive (C2)

Premium tile adhesive (C2) is a high-performance cement-based tile adhesive that meets the EN12004 standard for additional properties. To achieve the required adhesive strength of at least 1.0 N/mm2, YibangCell® cellulose ether is commonly used to improve slip resistance, extend open time, and enhance tensile adhesion strength.

The recommended dosage of YibangCell® cellulose ether is typically between 0.4~0.6%, which is the highest level used in tile adhesives. This dosage level ensures the highest quality tile adhesive with strong bonding capabilities and excellent workability. With the use of KimaCell® cellulose ether, premium tile adhesive can achieve superior performance and durability for various tiling applications.

● Benefits of Adding YibangCell cellulose ether in cement tile adhesive(CTA)

1. Cellulose ethers offer several benefits when added to tile adhesives or plastering mixtures. They improve the water retention of the mixture, allowing for a prolonged opening time, which can increase efficiency during tiling or plastering jobs. Additionally, cellulose ethers enhance adhesion and sliding resistance, which is particularly beneficial for heavy tiles that require strong bonding.

2. The workability of the mixture is also improved as cellulose ethers enhance the lubricity and plasticity of the plaster or mortar.
