KINGMAX low viscosity HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose) is a professional cellulose ether additive developed specifically for cement grout, injection grout, grouting mortar and non-shrink grout. Unlike high viscosity HPMC grades used for putty and tile adhesive, this low-viscosity HPMC focuses on optimizing rheology without thickening the slurry excessively. It helps cement grout maintain excellent flowability, stable suspension and smooth pumping performance, which is essential for grouting construction such as foundation reinforcement, post-tensioning duct grouting, crack injection and gap filling.
The primary benefit of low viscosity HPMC for cement grout is enhanced flowability. Cement grout needs to flow freely into narrow gaps, cracks and dense reinforcement spaces. Conventional thickening additives will increase viscosity and block the flow path. KINGMAX low viscosity HPMC provides moderate water retention and lubrication, letting the slurry keep good fluidity for a long time. The grout can spread evenly and fill every tiny void completely, avoiding incomplete grouting and empty cavities.
This HPMC grade also delivers outstanding pumping performance. In machine-pumped grouting projects, poor slurry stability easily causes segregation, water bleeding and pipe blockage. Our low viscosity HPMC forms a weak gel network inside the cement system. It prevents cement particles from settling rapidly, reduces bleeding and segregation, and keeps the slurry homogeneous during pumping. The slurry passes through pumps and delivery hoses smoothly, lowering pump pressure and reducing construction downtime.
Reliable water retention is another key function. Even though it is low viscosity, KINGMAX HPMC locks moisture inside the cement grout system. It prevents premature water loss when the grout touches porous substrates, ensuring cement hydration proceeds fully. This improves the final compressive strength, reduces shrinkage and minimizes the risk of voids caused by fast water evaporation. It also extends the available working time for grout mixing and pumping.
KINGMAX low viscosity HPMC features fast dispersion, low ash content and stable batch consistency. It mixes uniformly with cement, sand, mineral admixtures, water reducers and RDP powder. It is fully compatible with other common dry mortar additives. Our strict production control ensures viscosity fluctuation stays within a narrow range, so your cement grout performance remains consistent from batch to batch. It is suitable for pre-mixed dry grout production as well as on-site mixed grout.
